English Cucumbers growing in the Greenhouse

The month of May 2011 had been a very wet May compared to what we have had for years.  It certainly had its challenges here on our farm.  It seems just when the soil was dry enough to plant, then more rain!!   We start a lot of our seeds for transplanting in our greenhouses.  For example, English Cucmbers, different varieties of squashes and pie pumpkins.

Sunshine and Spring is on the horizon and warm weather too, we are getting ready planning for our first food boxes to go out, keep posted here for updates as to dates for the first box.

Feel free to contact us for further information.

Baby Spinach Harvesting Soon!

Even though there is snow on the ground and it is very cold outside, we are looking forward to soon harvesting baby spinach for 2012!

Last fall we planted spinach in our greenhouses and it has been overwintered there.  Spinach loves the cooler weather, so the two have been a perfect match.
